Franjo Malgaj Primary School
Šentjur is a town situated in the northeast part of Slovenia. Franjo Malgaj Primary school is the older of two primary schools in Šentjur. It was named after Franjo Malgaj, an important townsman, an officer, poet and fighter for the northern border of Slovenia. The school has classes one to nine and has over five hundred children enrolled. Many excel in different areas and the school aims to encourage the students to fulfil their potential and take part in different projects, competitions and other activities in the fields of art, sport and science.

Šentjur is the center of the municipality of Šentjur one of the larger non-urban municipalities in Slovenia with an area of more than two hundred km2. It is characterized by forests, vineyards, farms and ponds. The upper part of Šentjur is the old town center and home to many museum collections and buildings of cultural heritage.
